Privacy Policy — INTERSECTIONS 2026 Participation App

Note: This is a proposed draft to support registration of the app with LinkedIn (which requires a public privacy policy URL). Please have it reviewed by the conference organiser and, where appropriate, legal counsel, and fill in the bracketed placeholders before publishing it at a public URL.

This Privacy Policy explains how the INTERSECTIONS 2026 Participation App (the “App”) collects, uses, and protects your information. The App is provided by [Organiser legal entity — e.g. ideactio / Service Design Singapore] (“we”, “us”, “our”) to support participation at the INTERSECTIONS Service Design Conference, held in Singapore on 23–24 July 2026 (the “Conference”).

Who this applies to

This policy applies to attendees, speakers, and organisers who sign in to and use the App during and around the Conference.

Information we collect

1. Information from LinkedIn (via “Sign In with LinkedIn using OpenID Connect”) When you sign in with LinkedIn, we receive a limited set of profile information that you authorise LinkedIn to share:

How your information is shared

Data retention

We retain your information only for as long as needed to run the Conference and its immediate follow-up. We intend to delete or anonymise attendee personal data within [e.g. 30–90 days] after the Conference, unless a longer period is required by law or you have asked us to keep it.

Your choices and rights

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls and encrypted connections (HTTPS). Note that “locked” profile fields are withheld on the server and are not sent to other attendees’ devices until the mutual “Spoke with!” condition is met.

Children

The App is intended for Conference attendees and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
